My dog is very fond of watching birds flying around. It will never bark at them, quietly it will sit and look which ever side they fly. It is so good to see his this observant behavior. Smile

Cute. My dog doesn't like to watch birds. My cats do though- I think they think- if I could only get out there and eat them! lol

My dogs do the same, but they also are squirrel watchers. Of course, they do bark at the squirrels, but that's because the squirrels taunt them, just sitting on the fence post, looking down at them. The poor babies go nuts! lol

My dog likes to chase them even though he knows he cannot get to them.

I also have noticed this. It seems dogs like watching them not chasing them just seeing what they do as long as they do not come close.
