How do you properly socialize a puppy to avoid issues later on down the road with aggression? Is it important for a puppy to play with dogs his/her own age, or is it ok for them to interact with older dogs?

I think it's okay for puppies and older dogs to play with each other as long as the owners keep a close eye on their pets. Some older dogs don't want much to do with another dog, let alone a puppy, so you have to be careful.
The same goes with all doggie get-togethers. No matter what their age they might end up fighting but I think it's a good idea to get puppies used to other dogs.

I think it's ok for puppies to play with all dogs too- as long as you are watching to make sure they are getting along with each other. I think it is important to have your puppy be around other pets.
