When I do buy a house I want to have one a huge tank in my wall like make it so that you can see the tank from both sides. I know I would need to work it out so that I can access the tank and whatnot, but that's why on the inside part of the wall I can make like a cabinet type look so then all the pumps and chemicals needed will be in there and I can access the top of the tank. I think that would really cool. And of course it would be a salt water tank with all different types of fish and corals.

I have seen built in tanks on HGTV design shows but haven't known anyone who actually owned one.

I bet your idea for a tank would be beautiful, though.

that's one expensive thing you want there. you can just settle for prebuilt tanks that can be put within a wall, it costs much less than having a custom made one. AFAIK, i haven't seen yet a sealer that can withstand a wall of glass with water, so go for prebuilt with no seals.
