Crawfish in an aquarium

What ever you do (unless you like buying fish) don't put crawfish in your aquarium. I bought one at the fish store. Came home one day and he was eating my catfish. Guess he thought he was living in an all you can eat buffet. He is no longer around needless to say. That catfish cost me $10.00

I'm surprised the store didn't let you know that the crawfish wasn't a community oriented animal.

He probably would have done better in a tank with just one fish that was three times his size!

I'm sorry...aren't crawfishes small and catfishes big? Do you have a pic of the two?

I didn't ask them if other fish would be a problem. They could have said they WILL eat small fish if they can catch them.

The crawfish was about 3 inches long and the catfish was only about an inch and a half long. Don't have a picture of them and they're long gone now.

The catfish are an inch and a half long? The catfish I know are big. The ones we bread and fry? lol

It was just a baby one. It' was a red tail catfish. Here's a picture of a grown red tail.

Do crawfish require a lot of extra steps in order to clean an aquarium? Or, is it no different from other types of aquarium creatures?
