What is the life expectancy of your breed. My German shepherd has a life span of 10 to 13 years. What is your dog breeds life expectancy then.

I have had dogs since I was a little girl and they live forever! ---Almost lol.

I don't know. We have a boxer, Carmie-- and she is now 6 years old. I'm not sure how long they live. I'm hoping for a very long time. She is showing her age a bit though- Her hair is getting gray like around her eyes.

There are differences from breed to breed, but I have always thought that, on average, dogs live about 15 years. Cats do too. There are exceptions, of course. I've heard of cats who lived 19 and 21 years.
