| Is your cat vocal? Two of mine are the silent type, most of the time, and the third one will loudly remind me that his bowl it empty when he thinks it's time to eat. Sometimes I disagree, so he goes on meowing for a while and then gives up and stops. | |

I have the same situation with my beloved Jozefina. She is a champion of vocal. And I want to tell that some time ago I have read the information that cats meow only to contact with people. They use another voices and "language" between similar them.

| Oh yes- all 3 of my cats are vocal. They will wake me at night when they think it's time to pet them. At first it's just a rub on me-- then they meow at the top of their lungs! sometimes I pet them sometimes I don't.
Also when I first get home from work- they run to their food dish and meow- that is when they get their soft food- they just know-- they are talking to us.

| I've got a vocal one, too. He starts "talking" when he wants food, of course, but he also has moments when food isn't involved - he just wants to tell me something. | |
