Do you think you can have a Llama as a pet?That would be an odd choice because they spit people that they don't like.

Actually alpaca's make better pets, plus they are are a marketable commodity, meaning that you can sell of their fur as well as their droppings for fertilizer.

I did not know that llamas spit! One family here in the neighborhood owns several llamas, I've been thinking about stopping by and asking for a permission to take a closer look at them... I'm not sure I want to now, LOL!

I like Llamas and Alpacas, but having them as pets is a rather expensive hobby. Alpacas can cost around $10,000-12,000, so it is definitely an investment, and probably not one you will see a return on quick.

Llamas do spit on people that they don't like. My sister knows that very well. She was leaning over the fence and talking to one on a farm, and it spit on her...right in her mouth! Then she spit and started cursing.
