I was once told that you are suppose to only feed a dog once a day. Give them a bowl of food in the morning and then once gone that is it.

Is this true? If so do you know how that is suppose to positively affect your dog?

I feed our dogs twice a day, a bit in the morning and a bit when we eat dinner. I think is important for them to have a schedule just because dogs behave better with a routine.

When we had dogs, we always fed them on a schedule, once or twice a day. I think it is a good idea, the dog knows their feeding times and waits for them instead of begging for food all the time. They might still beg for treats, of course, Smile but at least they know that they are breaking the routine by doing it.
