Does anyone with an arthritic pet give them the Adequan injections? Are they relatively safe?

My friend had a dog with arthritis and she was giving the pet some kind of injections for it. I don't remember the name of it though. The injections did help the pet but eventually the dog became very old with bad teeth on top of the arthritis and she had to put him to sleep.

Ha! ha! I never knew dogs get arthritis too . . . am dumb Sad because my dog before never had this even when he gets older and passed away.
