Loosing your abilities

If you were to start loosing your ability to do things for yourself how would you cope ? have you got a plan in place for when this time comes, if it does ? will you use places like nursing homes or will you depend on your family to take care of you ?

I have done caregiving and would not want to put my family in that position so if finances were available I would probably go into a home. Though, it is getting outrageously expensive these days.

I would hope that my wife would take care of me or some other family member.

Wow, tough question.

Let me say that I will take care of my parents when they need it. It's something that I have always said.

I don't have any plan- I'm young- but then again things happen at any age.

I do have things set up for my daughter- if something was to happen to me. Where she would go, money for her, etc.

I'm not sure who would take care of me.

My husband and I have discussed this over and over again. He thinks our kids should take care of us... I want to save up and have funds for a retirement home.
