| My son and I were going to try to have crickets for pets this fall. We rescued two from our basement and put them in an aquarium with grass, newspaper, twigs, and leaves. We gave them some old birdseed and lettuce to eat. Also gave them water. They only ended up being pets for a half a day because they started chirping which really got on our nerves. We let them go in the back yard. | |

| When I started to read the post- I was like are you kidding me... You must be crazy! Crickets are so annoying! It's funny to hear that they didn't last long- I mean you let them go... But I couldn't stand to have crickets in the house either. | |

| This is very interesting. I never thought crickets can be used for this purpose. Further they are some what annoying creatures and might take some patience to keep them as pets. | |

| I like crickets, but I can't keep them as pets. They keep me awake. | |
