One of my cats kept sneezing, I think he had gotten a cold. I was not sure what to do at first, I did not want to spend a bunch of money on a vet visit but I did not want him to get worse, either. Then someone had told me that they give regular cold pills to their cat; not the whole pill, of course, only 1/4. So I cut a pill in four and gave him a piece. He was fine by the end of the day.

You gave your cat regular "human" cold medicine? I think that is really dangerous. I'm sure no vet would have said to do that. I'm glad the sneezing went away- and I'm also glad the cat was fine after getting the medicine. I think a lot of times colds just go away.

I agree with KrisNY. I am grateful your cat was o.k. Maybe it just was having allergy problems. But yes even though our cats may take the same kind of medication we do, the dosing is very delicate.
